Guac / Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using Guac (available at guac.bluelutra.com) and related services provided by Blue Lutra ("we", "us", or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must not use our software.

2. Critical 3D Printing Safety Disclaimer

IMPORTANT NOTICE ON PHYSICAL 3D PRINTING SAFETY: 3D printers are electromechanical manufacturing devices that operate at high temperatures, high currents, and rapid physical velocities. Modifying G-code with post-processing scripts or manual edits carries inherent risks of physical collisions, nozzle gouging, stepper motor stalls, heater malfunctions, thermal runaway, and fire hazards.

You are exclusively responsible for reviewing all modified toolpaths, speeds, temperatures, and fan speeds in the Guac 3D visualizer or your printer firmware before sending commands to physical machinery. Blue Lutra assumes no responsibility or liability for damaged 3D printers, wasted materials, failed prints, personal injury, or property damage resulting from G-code previewed or transformed using Guac.

3. Intellectual Property & User Content

Your Ownership: You retain complete intellectual property ownership over any 3D models, G-code files, and custom scripts you load or edit inside Guac. Because Guac is a client-side web application, your files remain strictly local to your machine.

Community Script Submissions: If you publish scripts to the Community Script Gallery:

  • You grant Blue Lutra a worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, index, display, and distribute your script bundle to other Guac users.
  • You agree to publish your script under a recognized open-source software license (e.g. MIT, Apache 2.0, BSD, GPL, or Public Domain).
  • You represent that you have all necessary rights to publish the code and that your code does not contain malicious routines, infinite loops intended to crash printers, or intellectual property infringements.

4. Community Standards & Prohibited Conduct

When participating in the Guac community, you agree not to:

  • Publish scripts intended to cause physical harm to 3D printers or circumvent firmware safety protections (such as disabling thermal runaway protection).
  • Upload obfuscated, malicious, or deceptive code to the Script Gallery.
  • Impersonate other creators or reserve user handles for abusive purposes.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, exploit, or disrupt our hosting infrastructure or Firebase databases.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

Guac and all associated scripts, models, and documentation are provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE", without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Blue Lutra and its contributors shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your access to, use of, or inability to use the service.
